History has proven that popcorn dates back to the Native Americans.

The Native Americans shared the popcorn with the Pilgrims. They popped the first ear of corn by spearing it and shaking it over a hot flame. The Native Americans consumed the popcorn as cereal and also used it to make jewelry. The traditional way of popping popcorn was to lay the kernels on hot rocks and wait for it to pop.
